Kryphos is a project about artificial intelligence, and it is also built with it. This page says plainly where, because guessing is worse than knowing.
What is generated with AI

The artwork
The Kryphos citizens, the city, and the key visuals are produced with generative AI tools and then selected, corrected and finished by hand. Every image you see on this site and in the collection falls under this.

The lore
The story of Kryphos, including the long-form text, is written with AI assistance and edited by the team. It is fiction, and it is not presented as reporting.

The text on this website
The copy on these pages was drafted with AI assistance and checked by the team. Figures are taken from the whitepaper or confirmed by the team, not invented.

Parts of the GOV platform
The platform includes automated components, among them a trading bot whose behaviour follows market-sentiment rules. Anyone using them is interacting with an automated system, not a person.
What is not AI
The business behind the project is not automated. Decisions about the collection, the treasury and the roadmap are made by named people. The consulting work that funds the community rewards is done by humans for human clients.
How we handle it
- Nothing is published without a person reviewing it first.
- Figures come from the whitepaper or from the team. Where the two differ, the team's figure is the one shown, because the whitepaper is the older document.
- Nothing planned is presented as if it already existed.
- Automated components in the GOV platform are labelled as automated where they are used.
Machine-readable marking
The AI Act also expects synthetic content to be machine-readable as such. For the collection this means marking it in the token metadata. That is still to be implemented and is tracked as an open item.
